Free Time Free Choice
What do you like to do during your free time? Playing sports or going outdoors? Great! Or do you enjoy reading or playing video games at home? It’s up to you and the option is endless (sounds just like an infomercial! HA!)
My point is, YOU can do ANYTHING you want, given that it is legal and not hurting anyone, when you are DONE with your work (whatever it is). I am using the term “work” loosely here; “work” can be the work you do to get paid, homework assignments, chores around the house (includes but not limited to “honey-do’s”), and all other responsibilities.
Grown-Up? So What? Let’s Play Dress-Up!
Have you heard of Cosplay? The short answer is dressing up as a movie/video game/cartoon character. Remember those Harry Potter fans and Star Wars fans (yes I said Star Wars!) For those who are interested in learning more, here is a link to the Wikipedia about Cosplay.
And this leads to me thinking of a movie named Role Model (link to the IMDb here). One of the characters in the movie enjoys dressing up and playing some Medieval fantasy game. At first, his new friend isn’t big on that idea and refuses to participate… but later they make up and both join in some big epic fight (it’s a comedy, people).
Do What You Want and Let ’em Eat Cake
You heard me. I am telling you to enjoy your free time and have fun… when you are done with your work. And the freedom should extend to your family, clients, and friends. Just because you don’t enjoy eating cake or playing chess and you should stop others from doing so… unless it’s health-related and law-breaking.
Last Words and Borderline Easter Egg
So yes there you have my words for this week. Please leave me some questions/comments/suggestions? Also, anyone figures out why I picked that movie?
May the desired consequence be with you!
